Its been awhile...

I really suck at this, but I am going to be working on a project for the next year so I wonder it that will help me to keep up with this. I have decided to write about what I am reading. Its at a new blog though called My Joy/ My Bane. I will link it here in a bit but I think it will be cool and I will talk about it on that site.

Here my hubby finally came home and my kids have all been ecstatic to have him home. I was too. Its unbelievably hard to parent when you get used to someone being there and then BLAM they are gone for 2 months. So he got home a little over a month ago and I swear he brought something home with him because it seems as if for the entire month someone has been sick all of that time. He came home sick. I was just getting over something and the kids all got sick. Then I got sick... then he got sick and so on and so on. First though I have to say its now spring here and pollen is KILLING me. Seriously pollen and I do not mix any better than grass and I mix. I dont think I will be starting spring break with pneumonia though this year. YEAH! Just the joys of pollen and allergies.

I finished another class and I am in another class. I packed off all my friends over the past few weeks it seems like. It has been hard. My closest friend moved three hours away. She has been my closest friend for 5 yrs. (Military life you know?) Some friends who thought they would be here got a order shift from here to Japan so we sent them off too. And right around when Hubby left I sent off another friend to Texas. OUCH All me friends are leaving me!!

Its hard. The kids took it hard. I have cried a lot over the past few weeks myself. I still have a lot of friends but you know there are some friends you know you will have forever and you dont want to leave.

Anywho I have also been swept up on the geneology sites. My daughter had a project due and we went to town. Lots of information from my husbands side not so much from mine haha. I am a ghost I tell ya!

Anyways until later... maybe I will go into detail on here about my trials and joys with geneology.

2 Weeks down....

Well with one monkey home sick all week it sure was a long week. Thankfully EVERYONE is well and ready for tomorrow when EVERYONE goes back to school. YEAH! Isnt that awesome??

I totally cannot wait. Although I am not one who likes the rain and apparently its going to rain all week. I really dislike driving in rain. I dont mind it if I get to stay home. I dont like it otherwise haha.

Well I do have a funny story from my lil one this week. She is so smart and thinks about things in a way that isnt like the rest of the kids. So let me give you the background first. In December I decided to go back on the pill. Not that I have needed it at all over the past 6 yrs (nursing for almost 3 yrs and then being pg made for no need! however after all that I still never got pg) Anywho I have decided to blame the fact that I am overweight on the fact that I didnt get pg. Probably has to do with the endometriosis too but who knows. Anywho I wanted to lose weight and didnt want to take a chance of getting pregnant while I was losing weight either. So I started the pill up again.

So at midnight I was taking my pill and my lil one says "Mom whats that pill for?" (she is uber conscious of people getting sick)I told her well if mom takes this pill it helps her to not have another baby. She sits for a minute or two and looks a tad bit confused.... So I asked her whats up? She looks at me and says, "Mom we have 3 girls and only ONE boy! We need more boys! Even when Daddy is here we dont have enough boys!" I laughed for a minute and though only she would voice it like that. The others are like YES no more kids haha.

This song is from Prince Caspian. It is so awesome! Maybe its because it speaks to me on more than one level I dont know. Anyways I am so totally peaved because the only way to get this song is to *BUY* the entire soundtrack. Well what if I dont want this entire soundtrack? Only problem is that no where on Itunes can you buy it by itself. Atleast it wasnt coming up on there for sale by itself. I guess I could get it on my top 25 and then it would play on that list and then I could put most of the rest of the album on my Sunday list but what if I dont want to?

It really peeves me when you find songs like this. I LOVE the songs but cant get access to them without purchasing the entire album... but what if I dont like the rest of the album? I shouldnt be forced into buying something just because of one song.

Its a new week...

Over the last week we have had so much fun. Really its great when you get 3 out of 5 with the stomach virus. So this week was spent mostly in bed with other sickies. Grand time we had. I did take my second monkey into the doctor because it doesnt seem to be releasing her quite as easily as the rest of us. The doctor checked her over and then said its a virus.... to which my daughter replied with can I go to the bathroom? The doctor and I both looked at her and said why? Which was met with my daughter puking! grrr. Like I said it doesnt want to leave!!!

Other than that we said goodbye to some dear friends who got fast tracked orders and left for Texas. We will miss them dearly. It seems this past year all of our closest friends have left us. The James left in July, another set of friends wont leave for a few months but nonetheless will be gone, and then the Garcias. We retire in August but it doesnt appear we will be going anywhere other than maybe a ward change. That sucks.

We did make it through ONE week without hubby. Now we are looking at 5 1/2 wks more until he gets home. We miss you and love you. Glad your not getting sick with us though. And you not being here sure is making sleeping a tad bit better as there arent four of us trying to fit in the bed along with a pot in case its needed. Isnt life grand?

First post of the new year....

Hopefully not the last though haha. It seems I never really have time for this. My goal is to become a better writer this year and to lose weight. I watched a Good Eats show with Alton Brown this morning it was on dieting. Its the Live and Let Diet one. You can find it on youtube in three parts here . That is the first part. If you havent seen it you may want to grab a pen and paper BEFORE hand.

Anywho moving on my husband left for New Hampshire/Maine (he is right on the border working in Maine but staying in NH) on the 3rd. He wont be home until late Feb. So I am starting the new year alone haha. Well as alone as a person with 4 kids can :)

I am still in school. Hubby is still on active duty. This year though will bring lots of changes.... namely the two just listed will be completed. Retirement is coming in August and my degree will be done by the end of this year. WOW!

Hoping for lots of changes this year and will try and blog atleast weekly to keep those who bother reading abreast of that stuff haha.

Saturdays YW Conference...

How many of you attended this? Did you not think of the ways it could apply to us too? I loved it. I did (sad to say) start to get antsy toward the end, mostly because it was hot in there and my asthma is flaring so it was making me cough.

I really really need to be doing more of the blog thing so I am going to try and come here and blog atleast 2-3 times a week. I will be back soon. Kids get out soon.

As a break into us... This week is halfdays all week for the two little ones because of Parent teacher conferences. Next week all four are on Spring Break and the little ones stay on until after May 1. My Mom also is coming on Thurs. So to start this week off how is this. MY PHONE QUIT WORKING! I am going to go look at a new one here in a few.

I havent been on in forever...

Life is soooo busy though. This year so far I have taken Macro/Microeconomics classes and a financial accounting class. Kids and I have all been sick atleast 3 times. My In-laws have been here. I am on a bowling league with monkey #2 AND I got a new calling. So every other tuesday I have my calling, every wednesday my oldest has church and soccer starts soon. Life wasnt hectic enough.

One new thing though is that I have taken to going out with my friends every other week for lunch. it is fun. I love it. I also have signed up for this dinner thing our ward does where we rotate houses. I want my husband to feel more comfortable in our ward so I signed us both up. He will probably hate it but oh well. Life ticks on Dude...
